  • What is Laser Hair Reduction & how does it work?
    A Laser is an intense beam of light that is safely used to eliminate unwanted hair on all areas of the face and body. The eLase system uses Elos technology, which combines laser energy with radio frequency energy. This combination takes the light energy deeper in the skin making it more effective on the hair folicle and allows us to deliver precise controlled pulses of energy into the hair shaft without damaging the skin. Pigment in the follicles then absorbs this energy, which destroys the follicle preventing further hair growth. Each pulse of the laser takes a fraction of a second and can treat many hairs at the same time.
  • Which areas can be treated with Laser for Hair Reduction?
    We can treat almost any area on the face and body with the following being the most common:

  • How soon will I see results?
    A course of 8 is recommended and results are gradual and hair growth is reduced after each treatment.

  • Is Laser Hair Reduction safe?
    Laser treatments are extremely safe when delivered by a qualified and experienced practitioner. Directly after treatment you may see mild redness, and sometimes slight swelling, however these temporary side effects quickly subside.
  • How should I care for my skin after?
    To maximise the effects of Laser Hair Removal and to minimise unwanted side effects we recommend you take the following steps:
    Before Treatment
    • Shave the area 24 hours prior to treatment
    • Avoid sun exposure 2-4 weeks to ensure the skin is at it’s natural colour
    • Avoid artificial tanning 1 week pre treatment.
    • Do not remove the hair below skin level during your course of treatment (ie only shave or trim)
    • NO epilation ie waxing, plucking, electrolysis and no use of hair removal creams
    After Treatment
    • Avoid sun exposure and apply sun protection to treated area(s).
    • Do not undergo chemical or microdermabrasion peels 1 week post treatment.
    • Avoid direct and indirect heat, hot baths, saunas etc, for 48hrs post treatment.
    • Normal skincare routine can be resumed immediately avoiding harsh or irritant topical products for 48hrs.

    Laser Hair Removal is carried out by our qualified and experienced Aestheticians and we are located on the outskirts of Bexley Village down a private, tranquil lane just off the A2 and close to Bexley train station.
